Creating Bases With Adobe

Well Creating A Base With Adobe is very easy. There are different ways to do. I personally don't like to make my own bases its so much easier to use someone else :}. In this tutorial we will mainly use the pen toll tool in order to create a base.

Step One: Choose a Sample Picture that you will like to make your base of.

Step Two: Edit Zoom In To the Picture So You Have A Better View of Which Body part you are creating.

Step Three: Select your freeform pen tool.

Step Four: Slowly Trace as even as you can. A path over the form.

(Note: It is easier some times to delete the areas around the body)

When Making the out line it is good to make them in different line segments. So that you can get the shaping right.

Note Below the line segment I used to get the shape of the calf.

If you don't do it in segments in wont form the way you want.

Continue until you have completed the hole form you are looking for.

To make the leg that is cut of simply enlarge you canvas. Buy going to the Image Menu. Then Resize Canvas.

Just Make it large enough for you to draw your leg.

Step Five:  Make sure your path is closed and no segments are selected

You outline should look all smooth no segments at all or when you stroke your path only the sub path will be painted..

Step 6: Create a New Layer And Make Sure it is Active.

Step 7: Open the Path Palette. By Going Under View to View Path

Select The View Path Tab on Palette.

Make sure that your paintbrush tool is as the pixel size you wish you outline to be.

I like to use a large out line. So its easier for me to shade later. So first I got to the paintbrush tool

And put it on 3-5px. Brush. Also make sure your foreground color is the color u want

Step 8:  Then I go the path palette and make sure my working path is selected/highlighted in blue.

Then go to the arrow and from the drop menu. Select stroke Path.

Result:

Step: 9 Fill in the inside using the Fill Bucket Tool. Be sure to use a liter color then our outline.

Note: Hide Layer One so you can see what your base looks like so far.

One you fill in what you can with the fill tool. Use your choice the Airbrush or Paintbrush tool to blend the color.

And Then you can use The Blur tool to go around the edges in order to create shading.

Congratulations You Have Created A Base.
